Accordion

As part of the class Interactive Music Systems, I worked with a partner on a final project where students were expected to design an interactive music system of their own. We built a digital accordion using a Launchpad X MIDI Controller, Ultrasonic Sensor, Arduino Uno, and a lot of duct tape! The project was presented as a demo for members of the MIT community to engage with during the IMS party at the conclusion of the semester. The project was designed to simulate playing a real accordion at a fraction of the cost while simultaneously incorporating tutorials and modes that help ease the learning curve of the instrument.
